Middle Eastern Ground Beef – Meal Prep

Middle Eastern Ground Beef

I started with a recipe, but used curry powder instead of the Baharat Seasoning (which I didn't have). I also added four small, diced, peeled Indian eggplant and skipped making the cauliflower rice and topping, as I was not planning on eating this dish today. When I do eat it, I will likely serve it on a bed of chopped Romaine lettuce, sliced red onion, diced cucumbers and cherry tomatoes. By the way, my apartment smells amazing!

Tip: If you don't have Baharat Seasoning, you can easily make your own. I didn't bother this time, but I might in the future. Recipe here.

Note: Don't be afraid of spices. Spices can have medicinal purposes, add polyphenols to your diet that boost digestion and brain health, act as valuable mild "stressors" on the body, and perk up your meals! On the other hand, some spices can be irritating to the gut and some people have food sesitivities that include certain spices, e.g., black pepper, cinnamon, etc.
